Carbon Sequestration Survey

2008-2009: Carbon Sequestration Survey

In the fall and winter of 2008, a team of fourth year students from the University of Guelph, working under the guidance of Andrew Gordon Professor of Forest Ecology & Agroforestry undertook a survey of sample sites of typical soil conditions and vegetation in Eden Mills in order to determine in approximate terms the rate of carbon absorption and level of sequestration in the Village. This survey complements the CO2 emissions survey showing a little more precisely the gap between CO2 emissions and CO2 sequestration in Eden Mills.

Subsequent surveys can be found here.
